1. Theatre performance
On October 19 & 20, CHORUS presented Amisthos Fylakas in Eleusis, a theater performance that brings to the forefront the collective memories of the local community, focusing on the marginalized figure of Panagiotis Farmakis. Developed through community research sessions in 2023 and numerous interviews conducted until May 2024, the project became a platform for Eleusis’ residents to share their personal stories, their encounters with Panagiotis, and reflect on key historical events shaping the city at that time. These stories intertwine across time, sometimes clashing, diverging, and converging, all coming together in the performance.
The production sought to illuminate moments from Panagiotis’ life and journey, exploring his connection with the people of Eleusis, his passion for antiquities and politics, while also questioning our actions and our perceptions when it comes to today’s marginalized figures.

The participants varied in ages, worked with texts related to the community research that was implemented in October 2023, and collaborated in creating mini performances and a collective embodied sculpture.
